My name is Danielle and I’m pretty sure my story begins way back on my 12th birthday when I received my very first sewing box from my Aunty filled with all the exciting bits and bobs that every sewing box holds. I’ve always been creative and have dabbled in crafts and “sewing” since a very young age. I began my sewing career by borrowing my mum’s sewing machine and up-cycling second hand clothes into bags and selling them to friends and family. I then moved on to creating from scratch various garments that I liked to think were fashion forward but in reality they were seriously embarrassing and I am lucky that I wore these before mobile phones were around to photograph the evidence! Thankfully many years have passed since then and I am proud to say my skills and attention to detail have also come a long way. Since having my three kids (Jackson, Mila and Otis) my passion has turned to sewing clothing for them. I love shopping for quality fabrics and I also love the challenge of creating clothes that are fun to look at yet are also fully functional; clothing that can be worn for play and not hinder movement or comfort. Every single piece of clothing that goes out is made by myself – I do all the tracing of patterns, the cutting, the sewing, and then the packaging up and mailing at the post office. And everyday I feel so grateful that I get to do this with nothing but the utmost support from my husband and extended family. This is my dream job and I wouldn’t have it any other way. So I just want to say thank you for supporting my little business. Number92 is like my fourth baby and is an extension of who I am. I hope you love your purchases as much as I have loved creating them for you.
